ETHANOL PRODUCTION

Ethanol is a fuel grade alcohol made from biomass material.
At WWREC, corn is ground, fermented and distilled to produce 200 proof-denatured ethanol.

Ethanol as a fuel is clean burning, renewable and energy efficient. Recent polls show that over 80% of U.S. voters support the development and use of ethanol. (Ethanol National Study-The Winston Group, January 2007) WWREC ships it's ethanol, via truck or rail, to local markets in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois and to regional and national markets as well.

The process also produces distiller grain, which is a high quality, high protein feed used by livestock and poultry feeders. The majority of WWREC's distiller grain is sold to local farmers. It can be used either as a wet or a dry product.
